Actors including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Irrfan and Dimple Kapadia amongst several others have not just made a mark in Bollywood but have left their impact in series and films in Hollywood too. And now, it seems it's time to celebrate the global success of yet another desi actor, Adil Hussain, who has bagged himself a role in the popular series Star Trek: Discovery's latest season. The actor, who is known for his role in late Sridevi's English Vinglish and Life Of Pi, if reports are to be believed has a central role to play in the third season of the series, which will premiere in 2020.
The makers of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 released the first trailer during New York Comic-Con held on Saturday. Going by the one-minute ten-second trailer, the show is based in a fictional world that takes the audience 930 years into the future. Adil seems to be a scientist who plays a pivotal role in fighting back the evil forces.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 is created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman. Apart from Adil, the season stars Doug Jones, Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp, David Ajala, Wilson Cruz, and Michelle Yeoh. The Star Trek series, before Adil, had roped in an Indian actor, late Persis Khambatta, who played the role of Lieutenant Ilia in Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979). Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 will premiere in 2020.
