Kartik Aaryan is all ready to step into the humongous shoes of Akshay Kumar when he takes on the sequel to his 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Unlike its predecessor, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be directed by Anees Bazmee and will have Kartik and Kiara Advani in the lead. Now, the latest buzz is that the film will go on the floors on Dussehra, October 8.
A source told a leading daily, “It’s an auspicious day. It will be a brief two to three-day schedule in Mumbai with Kartik.” The report states that the first schedule will have just Kartik, while the second schedule will also feature Kiara. The source also said, “The second schedule will kick-off early next year with Kiara also jumping into the maze.”
After the first schedule Bazmee is slated to hop on the post-productions and promotions of Pagalpanti which stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’cruz and Arshad Warsi. On the other hand, Kartik has a slew of projects in hand that he needs to finish. He has Pati Patni Aur Woh remake as well as Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 in the pipeline.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. The film is expected to hit the screens in July 2020 and hence the shooting is slated to be completed by March.
