It is a bit of a celebration and a milestone: Hrithik Roshan on 'War' being the biggest opening in the history of Hindi cinema

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War created history on day 1 of its release. The biggest action entertainer of Bollywood lived up to its massive pre-release hype as it collected 53.35 crore net all India (Hindi: Rs 51.60 crore and Tamil + Telugu - Rs 1.75 crore). For this big achievement, the makers of War hosted an event for media this afternoon. In appearance at the event were Tiger, Hrithik, Vaani Kapoor and director Siddharth Anand. Hrithik spoke about how it is a bit of an achievement and celebration for the entire team to cross such a big amount at the box office on day 1 of the film's release.

Hrithik said, "Genuinely it is a bit of a celebration, it is a milestone. But as I have been taught to not count the chickens before they have been hatched. A few have hatched, a few milestones are still left. I am very happy and I am feeling absolutely incredible because the true celebration of this film has been the experience of all of us working together. That has been my celebration. Today, I am feeling relieved, feeling a little bit of love, warmth. I feel connected to the audience, the world so, thank you."
