Ab boxing ring main 'Toofan' uthega! Farhan Akhtar unveils the first look of his sports-drama, packs a punch

Farhan Akhtar has joined hands with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after six years for Toofan and will be seen playing a boxer. The two last collaborated on biographical sports drama Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. While Farhan has been sharing BTS videos from the sets and his prep for Toofan, the makers have amped up the excitement by unveiling the first look of the film.

Farhan too shared the look on his social media and wrote, "Toofan Uthega!! FIRST LOOK! #TOOFAN" In the still, Farhan can be seen packing a punch and we are certainly excited.

For the role, Farhan received intense training from Drew Neal. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has been roped in to play a boxing coach in the upcoming film while Darshan Kumaar of Mary Kom fame will get to put on his boxing gloves in Toofan. After four months of rigorous boxing training for a pugilist's role, Farhan kickstarted the film in August end. Mrunal Thakur will play the female lead in the Farhan starrer.

The film will be jointly produced by Excel Movies and ROMP Pictures. It is slated to release on October 2, 2020.
