Absolute RUBBISH: Nikhil Dwivedi dismisses reports of Shah Rukh Khan playing the antagonist in Hindi remake of Quentin Tarantino's 'Kill Bill'

After his last released film – Zero (2018) tanked at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan has taken a sabbatical from Bollywood. However, there have been reports lately that filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi is keen to rope in the actor for the Hindi remake of cult Hollywood classic Kill Bill (2003), directed by Quentin Tarantino, featuring Uma Thurman as ‘The Bride’ and actor David Carridine as ‘Bill’. A leading daily reported that Nikhil, who is making this film with Anurag Kashyap, wants SRK to play the antagonist Bill in the film.

While it would have been certainly a delight to watch Shah Rukh in the remake of the popular film, Nikhil has completely dismissed the news and in fact, has termed it as a 'figment of someone's silly and lazy imagination'. Calling the reports as 'absolute RUBBISH', Nikhil wrote on Twitter, "#FAKENEWSALERT on #KillBillRemake & @iamsrk being a part of it. Absolute RUBBISH. While it ll b a dream come true for just anyone &"especially me" to work wth him in any capacity, (I look up to him &love him so much) but ths news is a figment of someone's silly & lazy imagination!"

Meanwhile, there were reports earlier that SRK will return to acting in a film with YRF, which will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. However, the actor denied the rumours, stating that he has not signed any new acting project. Looks like our wait to see Shah Rukh on the silver screen is getting longer each day!
