Rangoli Chandel reveals 'Saand Ki Aankh' was first offered to Kangana Ranaut, indulges in ugly Twitter spat with Taapsee Pannu

The makers of Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar released the film's trailer on Monday afternoon. Both the actresses turned Shooter Dadis for Tushar Hiranandani's film. The 30-something actresses have stepped into the shoes of sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and Prakshi Tomar who learned shooting at the age of 60. After seeing these young actresses step into the shoes of 60-year-old dadis, a Twitter user commented how he wished to see older actresses in the film like Neena Gupta or Shabana Azmi. To this, Neena Ji agreed on Twitter.

Soon after Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel joined the conversation. She revealed that it was Kangana Ranaut who was first offered the film but she rejected it and recommended Neena Ji's name.

Rangoli took to Twitter to show her displeasure with Saand Ki Aankh and wrote, "Even today Kangana feel Ramya krishnan and Neena Gupta ji would have been a far better option, and they have a great market value, why can’t they be mainstream actresses ??when I call these people sasta"

One of Rangoli's tweet also addressed the ageist approach of the Hindi film industry and she wrote, "We will never have a Meryl Streep in India if we keep shamelessly displaying older women phobia like this... shame on you all Bolly filth... for promoting sexism in the name of feminism ."

Taapsee soon posted her reply and captioned it as, "I hope and can only hope this will answer the question once n for all coz honestly now it’s getting boring for us to repeat ourselves. So all you lovely people here goes my RESPONSE - #SaandKiAankh

Rangoli retweeted Taapsee's clarification note and wrote, "Acting ka A bhi nahin aata & comparing urself to all legends bhai ja thodi acting seekh le tacky silver hair & sasta prosthetic won’t make u an actor, wat about body language f a 60 year old? Where is the aged voice?Longing fr gone youth in one’s eyes?Where is acting So funny!"
