After 'Inshallah' gets shelved, Akshay Kumar's and Kiara Advani's 'Laxmmi Bomb' takes up the Eid 2020 slot


Akshay Kumar's and Kiara Advani's Laxmmi Bomb to now release on Eid 2020 - May 22, 2020. The film which was supposed to release on June 5, 2020, has now been preponed to Eid 2020. The film is being directed by Raghavan Lawrence and produced by Cape of Good Films,  Fox Star Studios, Tusshar Kapoor and Shabina Khan. 

The big announcement comes right after Bhansali Productions announced on Twitter that they are NOT going ahead with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah which was originally supposed to release on Eid 2020. Not to forget, Akshay and Salman Khan's Inshallah has an old connection. Akshay's next film Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shettywas preponed from Eid 2020 to March 27, 2020 to avoid a clash with Bhansali's Inshallah. But now, with Inshallah being shelved and Eid 2020 slot being free, the makers of Akshay's Laxmmi Bomb announced their film's release on the auspicious occasion.

Team Laxmmi Bomb had kickstarted the shoot in April and apart from Akshay and Kiara, the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kanchana will also star actor Tusshar Kapoor.
