This year's National Film Awards Best Actor recipients Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal are happy, proud and honoured for their big win. From hosting award shows to attending events and seminars, the actors were seen together a number of times last year. The two bonded with each other last year and are great buddies now and what comes as an add on is them winning the National Award together.
Their close bond and brotherly equation made Ayushmann the first person Vicky called as soon he got to know about their win. Ayushmann took to Instagram to show how much they love each other. The Andhadhun actor, in his Instagram story, wrote, "This guy is a gem. As soon as he got to know about his/our victory in the National Awards, he called me and congratulated me. Vicky yaara, I'm so proud of you. Thank you for being so gracious. Lots of love."
Vicky also took to Instagram to share Ayushmann's story and planned what they are going to do next time they meet. He wrote, "Do dost ek hi pyaali mein chai peeyengey... Isse pyaar badhta hai."
Vicky won the award for his 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike and Ayushmann bagged the Award for Andhadhun.
