Arjun Kapoor flaunts new tattoo and shares why it feels ‘accurate, intimate and personal’; Malaika Arora approves of it

Arjun Kapoor previously got the word 'Maa' tattooed in Hindi as a mark of love for his mother Mona Shourie Kapoor, who passed away in 2012. Now the actor has once again got inked and got the Latin phrase 'Per Ardua Ad Astra', which means 'From adversity to the stars' inked on his arm. Flaunting his new tattoo in an Instagram post, Arjun wrote, "Per Ardua Ad Astra - From adversity to the stars. Finally got my second tattoo!"

Not just that, Arjun also shared a video on Instagram to share why the tattoo feels ‘accurate, intimate and personal’ to him. "For me, the exciting part about getting a tattoo is that it has to be intimate, it has to be personal and it has to be coming from a place which is within you. Which, I guess nobody else can understand except you. And when you explain it with a certain joy, the other person can co-relate to that emotion saying, 'Ah, it makes sense that you would want something like this on your body for the rest of your life!'" he said in the clip.

He further explained the reason behind getting this particular tattoo and maintained, "I know we are all 'stars', it's not for that. (laughs) It's primarily because I feel the greatest achievements come out of being pushed against the wall and that is when you rise to the occasion and are able to pull off things that even you did not imagine. That's what life is about, at the end of the day, you outdo limits and people's expectations."

What's more? Arjun's girlfriend Malaika Arora liked the post and it seems he clearly approves of it. Anushka Sharma too gave a thumbs up and commented, "Waah waah waah. Kya baat hai."

On the work front, Arjun has wrapped up the shoot of Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama Panipat, co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon.
