Mukesh Bhatt keen to make ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin’ remake with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead?

Pooja Bhatt and Aamir Khan starrer Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin that released in 1991 is a hugely popular film. The film was a super hit with its soulful and melodious songs as added bonus. The romantic comedy is still extremely popular and is known as one of the best films of Aamir and Pooja directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Now the latest buzz is that Pooja’s uncle Mukesh Bhatt is keen to remake the film with none-other-than Pooja’s half-sister Alia Bhatt and beau Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.

Although the casting of Alia and Ranbir in the roles of Pooja and Aamir will be just perfect, the glitch is that the actress has a chock-a-bloc schedule which is making things difficult. Due to her professional commitments, the project is not able to fructify anytime soon.

Alia has quite a few lucrative projects in her kitty such as Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra opposite Ranbir that is slated to release in the latter part of the year. She also has SS Rajamouli’s RRR that features Ram Charan and Jr.NTR in the lead. She will also be sharing screen space opposite Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah that is slated to release next year on Eid. She is also currently shooting for Sadak 2 with sister Pooja, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt.

With such big projects at hand, it seems the remake of Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin will definitely take time to come to fruition.
