Fatima Sana Shaikh says she is excited to work on the horror comedy Bhoot Police, scheduled to go on floors next week

Fatima Sana Shaikh made a spectacular debut alongside Aamir Khan in Dangal as the wrestler lady Geeta Phogat and proved that she is here to stay. Although her last outing Thugs Of Hindostan was a washout at the box office, the actress, this year is all set to spring back at the box office with an exciting lineup of films in her kitty. Fatima, after wrestling and sword fighting, will be seen trying her hand at horror plus comedy with Bhoot Police, which will go floors next week. Fatima is cast with Saif Ali Khan and Ali Fazal in Bhoot Police. Fatima, while speaking about working on the film said the genre is her personal favourite and told she will get to learn a lot since it is her maiden attempt at horror as well as comedy.

"I am very excited to kickstart the shoot for Bhoot Police, it will be my first horror-comedy so there will be a lot of learning that will happen on the job. I like this genre personally, and there is so much yet to be explored in this space in terms of filming horror cinema," Fatima told.

Adding further, Fatima revealed that she gets scared to watch a horror film alone but enjoys it when watched with friends and family. "I really enjoy watching horror and horror-comedy films but not alone. I get too scared to watch it alone. It is really fun to watch it with friends and family. The entire experience of watching a horror film in a theatre, with great sound and other effects is something else altogether," the actress added. 

Apart from Bhoot Police, Fatima will be seen in Anurag Basu's untitled film and has already wrapped a schedule in Bhopal. The film marks her first collaboration with Anurag and Rajkummar Rao. Speaking of Bhoot Police, it is said that Saif and Ali will play the role of ghost hunters while Fatima will be essaying the role of an 'enchanting woman'. Talking about the film directed by Pavan Kirpalani, Fatima had earlier told a website, "I really liked the director and I enjoyed watching his film Phobia. I don't do a film according to the genre that it is. I just go by my instinct with the script. Personally jo mujhe excite karta hai, main wohi karti hoon."
