Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, within just a few months into their lavish wedding, managed to win hearts of their fans globally with their unparallel PDA and rapport with each other. Priyanka and Nick, post marrying into families of different cultural and religious beliefs have become accustomed and are respecting each other's faith really well and we have proof. Nick, during an appearance on a popular American variety show, went on to explain the meaning of saath phera and said he is now 'locked for good'. A clip from the show where Nick made this statement went viral across fan pages dedicated to the couple who is fondly addressed as 'Nickyanka'.
“She comes from a big Indian family, I obviously have my brothers... we did in Jodhpur, at a palace there which was beautiful. Obviously there was good food, good music... so you do the pheras, in which seven walks around the fire symbolise seven lives together. So I am locked in for good now,” Nick joked upon being asked about the entire process that goes behind a big fat Hindu wedding. Watch the clip here:
Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in Jodhpur on December 1 and 2, 2018 with close family and friends in attendance. The wedding took place as per both-Christian and Hindu ritual. The three-day lavish affair was held at Umaid Bhawan Palace and included pre-wedding functions like mehendi and sangeet as well. The Christian ceremony took place on the evening of December 1 and was conducted by Nick’s father, Kevin Jonas Senior. Also, Priyanka will be celebrating her first birthday today post wedding.
