Mahesh Manjrekar's younger daughter Saiee Manjrekar to make her debut opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg 3?

Salman Khan's December release Dabangg 3 is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film will showcase not only Chulbul Pandey aka Salman's present life but also give a glimpse into his past. In relation to this flashback sequence, it was earlier reported that Mahesh Manjrekar's elder daughter Ashwami Manjrekar will be making an entry into Bollywood as Salman's love interest. However, now, in the latest development, a report in a leading daily stated that Saiee Manjrekar, Mahesh's younger daughter has replaced her sister in the film. Speaking about Saiee's role in Dabangg 3, a source close to the film informed the daily that she will be primarily seen in the prequel sequence and play the parallel lead.

“She plays Salman’s love interest and her role is primarily in the prequel. However, life comes full circle as the character has relevance to the conflict Chulbul is battling in the present," the source told the daily.

Saiee replaced her sister Ashwami as the latter had no plans to join showbiz. Considering her decision, the younger one grabbed the opportunity to star opposite Salman in a plum role. The source also informed that the debutante has shot for a major chunk of the film, including a romantic song filmed on Salman and her. Dabangg franchise has played an important role in introducing fresh talent to films. The first film in the series in 2011 brought Sonakshi Sinha to limelight and now, not just Saiee but Late Vinod Khanna's younger brother Pramod Khanna is all set to step into the role of Chulbul's father Prajapati Pandey.

Dabangg 3, as reported earlier, is a prequel film that traces Chulbul's journey from a kind-hearted goon in his 20s to become a Robin Hood cop in present times. The film, directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan, Nikhil Dwivedi is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019. The principal shoot of the film began in April with the team flying to Indore. The first shot of the film took place in Mandleshwar and Maheshwar. Apart from Salman, Dabangg 3 stars Sonakshi as Rajjo and Kannada star Sudeep in important roles.
