Sonakshi Sinha issues a statement regarding the cheating case, says event organiser trying to malign her image

Earlier today, it was reported that a team of Police from Moradabad visited Sonakshi Sinha's Mumbai residence named Ramayan on Thursday in connection to an FIR filed against her for cheating an event organiser. The event organiser, early this year filed an FIR under sections of cheating against the actress a while ago after she failed to live up to her commitment of attending an event at the last minute. Soon after this news was spread like wildfire, Sonakshi addressed the issue on her Twitter account and clarified her stand. She said in the statement that the event organiser was trying to malign her image in the press. The actress added that the enforcement authorities will have her full cooperation in the matter and urged media to not 'fan these bizarre claims of an unscrupulous man.'

"An event organiser who couldn't live up to his commitment obviously thinks he can make a fast buck by maligning my image crystal clear image in the press. There is full cooperation with the authorities from my end for the investigation to be conducted. Would request the media not to fan these bizarre claims of an unscrupulous man. Yours honestly and sincerely, Sonakshi Sinha," she wrote.

As per reports in a leading daily, the UP Police, assisted by officials from the Juhu police station visited Sonakshi's pad to record her statement in accordance with the case. However, the Police failed to do so as she wasn't at home at that moment. After waiting for a few hours, the officers left the Sinha house and are said to make a visit to the actress's home again on Friday. With regards to this, Sonakshi's spokesperson stated that the actress and her team 'have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with them because they have nothing to hide.'
