The source close to the film informed that Ajay wasn't sure about signing the film as he won't be enjoying a long screen time. However, after the script narration, he was excited to do the film hence signed for a role that is almost like an extended cameo
"Ajay will be playing father to actor Ramcharan. The shoot of the film is going on in full swing as of now in Hyderabad's Ramoji Filmcity. He wasn't sure because the part is not very long. It is almost like an extended cameo and he wasn't sure about doing it. But after a narration from Rajamouli, he got excited. It was also one reason why Ajay initially had given a statement saying he wasn't doing the film at all. Things worked out eventually," the source told the daily.
