Kiara Advani is currently basking in the glow of sweet success. Her last release Kabir Singh is breaking records at the box office and is minting money left, right and centre. The film has managed to earn Rs 146.63 crores in just eight days of its release and is speculated to cross Rs 150 crore by evening. Last night, Kiara revealed on her Instagram story a special gift that she received from Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda, the original star of Arjun Reddy. He congratulated the actress on the success of her film and even sent a handwritten note.
Vijay wrote, “Kiara, congratulations for Kabir Singh! Enjoy the success. Sending you my best and also some of my clothes...that sounds wrong - 'clothes from my line'.” Kiara replied to the message as “Thankyouuuu Arjun..” taking Vijay’s screen name that brought him popularity and acclaim. Kabir Singh is the official remake of Arjun Reddy. The original version featured Vijay and Shalini Pandey in the lead. Both the films has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Kabir Singh also stars Arjan Bajwa, Suresh Oberoi and Kamini Kaushal in key roles. The film has got mixed reviews with several critics panning the film for its toxic masculinity and violent behaviour, but the film is going strong in the theatres.
