Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezaan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Malaal, alongside the filmmaker's niece, Sharmin Segal. Apart from his much-awaited debut, Meezaan has been grabbing headlines for her rumoured relationship with Amitabh Bachchan grand daughter and Shweta Bachchan's daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda. While he recently quashed the rumours of him dating Navya, Meezaan once again opened up on the speculations surrounding them by reveaing that she is just his friend and also happens to be his sister’s best friend.
In an interaction with a daily, Meezaan said that his focus is only on his work and he's completely single currently. "I am not dating her. We used to study together in New York and the photograph that went viral showed us going for a movie. I had covered my face (in the picture) because I did not want social media exposure at that time. In fact, I don’t want to be in the news for my personal life. I believe that social media should be used selectively. I am currently single and am only focussing on my work," he was quoted as saying.

When further prodded about his dream woman, Meezaan replied, “I want my partner to be grounded and independent — someone who has her own mind. It does not mean that she has to agree with me on everything. Looks fade after some time, what lasts in a relationship is the emotional connect. She should have a strong value system and also connect with my family.” Well, we cannot agree more!
His debut film Malaal is expected to hit the screens on July 5, 2019.
