First look out! Amitabh Bachchan looks unrecognisable in Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to team up with Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo. The veteran actor began shooting for the film on Wednesday at the famous Mahmoodabad House in Qaiserbagh area in Lucknow. He plays the owner of the palatial house in the film and actor Ayushmann plays his tenant.

Now adding to the excitement, we have got our hands on the first look of the 76-year old actor in the much-awaited film. With a long beard, spectacles, a head scarf and a prosthetic nose, Big B looks almost unrecognisable as a grumy landlord. Trade anaylst Taran Adarsh shared the look on his Twitter account, check it out:

Meanwhile, according to a report in a leading daily, Gulabo Sitabo is also high on prosthetics for the senior actor, just like 102 Not Out and Paa. “When Shoojit showed him the look sketch, he was excited to work on the film, taking it on as a new challenge. He is required to sit down with the make-up team for hours before starting the shoot. An international crew has come on board to work on the appearance,” the daily quoted a source as saying. Big B arrived in Lucknow on Monday and reportedly had gone to see the location and did a recce of the site on Tuesday, before shooting for his portions on Wednesday. Ayushmann, on the other hand, is expected to join the team shortly (once he finishes another upcoming film Bala).

Interestingly, Gulabo Sitabo - a legendary pair of puppet sisters have been part of Uttar Pradesh's folklore and their tales have been a part of childhood. The film, apparently, is a take-off on these two characters and is believed to be a comedy. It has been written by Juhi Chaturvedi of Piku fame and is scheduled to release in April 2020.
