Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in a lavish ceremony last year in December. The couple honoured both their religions and customs and married in two traditional ceremonies- a Hindu wedding and a Christian wedding. Post their wedding the two appeared together in the Jonas Brother’s music video Sucker that left their fans panting for more. Now, it looks like they have given heed to their fans and are actually coming together for a project. According to reports, it is going to be a dance reality show.
In a recent interview given to a magazine, Priyanka said that the two are currently planning a reality show that is supposedly inspired by their own sangeet ceremony during their wedding. Apparently, it is going to revolve around how sangeet functions in marriages happen in India and the show is likely to be called A Week To Sangeet. Talking about the concept of the show, Priyanka said, “Nick came up with it because he was blown away by how the dinner brings people together. By the end, everyone knows each other’s names.”
This is not the only thing that Priyanka is bringing to the table. She is also going to star in a yet-to-be-named romantic comedy based on a wedding that like her own takes place in India and America. Priyanka pitched the idea to Mindy Kaling who will write and probably direct the all South Asian cast film. Talking about the subcontinent’s answer to Crazy Rich Asians, Priyanka also said, “An all-Indian cast in a Hollywood movie -I don’t think I would have been able to pitch that in a room three years ago. Mindy and I were both super psyched about it."
Well, we don’t know whether Nick and Priyanka will host the show or judge the reality show A Week To Sangeet but whatever it is the news has really amped up our excitement to see these two together onscreen.
