Rajinikanth's and Akshay Kumar's sci-fi film '2.0' is all set for a July release in China

Rajinikanth's and Akshay Kumar's mega-blockbuster sci-fi film 2.0 was a bonafide favourite of the audience of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema. The film directed by Shankar earned around 190 crores in the Hindi market individually, is all set to take the Chinese box office by storm with its release. Ramesh Bala, a film trade analyst announced the news of the film's release in China as July 12, 2019 on Tuesday. 2.0: Resurgence is the Chinese title of the film told Ramesh as he shared a poster of the China version. 

"The most-awaited #2Point0 release in China is finally confirmed for July 12th, 2019. Superstar #Rajinikanth's Bollywood Robot 2.0: Resurgence (Chinese title) will be the biggest IMAX 3D release for a foreign film in China!," Ramesh tweeted.

If reports are to be believed, 2.0 will be released across 55,000 out of 60,000 screens in China, giving it a grand release and making it Rajinikanth's biggest theatrical release. The Chinese film market for Bollywood films has time and again proven to be a profitable venture as films like AndhaDhun, Dangal, PK, Mom and Kaabil aren't just minting money at the box office but has built a great fan following for Indian celebrities.

Talking about 2.0, the film features Rajinikanth as the scientist Vaseegaran and a robot named Chitti. Akshay is the main antagonist Pakshiraj, an Ornithology. The film was released on November 29,2018.
