Prabhudheva to recreate his iconic song 'Mukkala Muqabala' for Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D

It would not be wrong to say that every 90s kid has loved Prabhudheva's invisible act in his song Mukkala Muqabala from 1994 Tamil film Kadhalan, which was later dubbed in Hindi as Humse Hai Muqabala. Now 25 years later, the iconic foor-tapping number is all set to make a comeback through Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D, helmed by ace choreographer Remo D'souza.

According to a report in a leading daily, the recreated version has been recreated with Tanishk Bagchi reworking the AR Rahman original and it has already been shot during the film's Dubai schedule. Not to miss, Prabhudheva will be seen shaking a leg with Varun and Shraddha in the song. "It was shot during the on-going Dubai schedule with Prabhudheva taking centre stage for a minute-long solo performance, effortlessly repeating the difficult moves in a single take.” the daily quoted a source as saying.

Bhushan Kumar, T-series honcho and producer of Street Dancer, further confirmed that the song has indeed been incorporated in the film. "There’s a situation in the film where we see Prabhudheva showcase his dance moves and I knew we needed to bring ‘Muqabala’ back. The audience will be blown away by the choreography and will love the new version as much as the original," he explained.

Street Dancer 3D features Varun and Shraddha as dancers, who have grown up in the UK. Also starring Nora Fatehi, Sonam Bajwa, Dharmesh, Shakti Mohan and Vartika Jha in vital roles, the film is slated to release on the Republic Day 2020 weekend.
