After receiving severe flak, Vivek Oberoi apologies for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Salman Khan meme; deletes it from Twitter

Vivek Oberoi has found himself in a controversy after he tweeted a meme on the exit polls, featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's former relationships with Salman Khan and himself, along with her current family with Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan. The tweet did not go down well with the netizens as well as a number of celebs and notable dignitaries, who asked the PM Narendra Modi biopic actor to apologize for his tweet. Now, the actor has finally deleted the tweet and apologized for the same on Twitter.

He wrote, "Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I cant even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever."

Urmila Matondkar lashed out saying that he should remove the tweet, if not apologise to Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya.
