CONFIRMED: Tiger Shroff-starrer Hindi adaptation of Sylvester Stallone's Rambo to hit the screens on Gandhi Jayanti 2020

Tiger Shroff, who was last seen in Karan Johar's Student of the Year 2, will reportedly kick off the third instalment of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Baaghi franchise, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, in July.  Apart from that, Tiger has the YRF film with Hrithik Roshan and the Hindi adaptation of Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo, both directed by Siddharth Anand. While he divulged no details about the Hrithik starrer, Siddharth told a leading daily that Tiger will begin shoot of the Rambo remake from January next year and they are eyeing October 2, 2020 – Gandhi Jayanti as the film's release date.

“After I complete my current film with Tiger and Hrithik (Roshan), I will start prepping for Rambo from September. Tiger will begin his prep from November-December and we will set the ball rolling in the new year, shooting both in India and abroad. The recce will begin soon. We have already locked a release date, October 2, 2020,” confirmed Siddharth. He further revealed that he has locked the script and will finalise the lead actress in a month. "Rambo is primarily known for its action, but I can promise you that in my film, the story will resonate too with our audience. It’s a story that needs to be told, given the present politics in the country. Of course, the action will be big but like Steven Spielberg once said, ‘if it’s action without emotions the audience watches dispassionately’. So, the emotions need to be in sync with the action," he added.

For the unversed, Rambo is a four-film series, based on the David Morrell novel First Blood, with Sylvester Stallone featuring as John Rambo, a Vietnam war veteran. To say the least, it would be a delight to watch Tiger once again in his action-packed avatar. Meanwhile, his other film, Baaghi 3, is slated to hit the screens on March 6, 2020.
