Aditya Roy Kapur undergoing training since past six months to shoot three action sequences for Malang

Aditya Roy Kapur is all set to shoot action sequences for his upcoming film Malang and his trainer Sudarshan D Amkar spoke to a leading daily about the intense training schedule that he has been following to aid filming. The actor is in Mauritius at the moment and will shoot three high-octane sequences, including a car chase and a hand-to-hand combat scene as per the report.

A local stunt director will choreograph the action sequences while Sudarshan will supervise the execution. Aditya has been training since the past six months and sharing details about his schedule, Sudarshan told the daily, "When Aditya first came to me, he had a huge body. (For this film), we had to build on his flexibility and agility. So, we added Kalaripayattu movements to his daily regimen so that his body could move in every angle.”

His training sessions have been nothing short of intense as Sudarshan added, “We trained for two hours every day, starting our routine with dynamic stretches. It would allow us to see where his body is imbalanced. We also practised kicks and punches, besides his cardio sessions."

In order to prevent Aditya from injuries while training for Malang, Sudarshan takes necessary precautions as he said, "We carry resistance bands on set because if his body is not warm, he won't feel athletic. If the body isn't physically prepared for action, it can lead to severe injuries. So we have focused on a holistic preparation, keeping an eye on everything that he is expected to perform in the film."

Malang, directed by Mohit Suri, co-stars Disha Patani, Kunal Kemmu and Anil Kapoor. It will release on February 14, 2020.
