Filmmaker Dinesh Vijan said that Kareena Kapoor Khan’s role will be taken forward in the upcoming installments of Hindi Medium, as reported by an entertainment portal. Kareena’s character has been introduced in the sequel to Hindi Medium, titled Angrezi Medium as she stars as a cop in the film. Speaking about her role, Dinesh said that she will shoot in London.
"We wanted to introduce her character (with Angrezi Medium) who would be taken forward in the franchises to come and she’s perfect for it. Here, she plays a cop, a role she has actually never done before! We will be shooting in London this June and it will be great to be back on set with her,” Dinesh told the portal.

Furthermore, Dinesh is elated that Kareena has signed Angezi Medium and said, "Kareena is a great addition to our franchise! Angrezi Medium is a very special film, and I’m excited that she's going to be a part of it.”
Kareena, recently, also spoke about her role in Angrezi Medium with an eminent journalist and said, “I think it's going to be quite a surreal experience. It's not a romantic pairing. It's a small but interesting part.”

Angrezi Medium casts Irrfan as a sweet shop owner. Irrfan also appeared in the lead role in Hindi Medium. Deepak Dobriyal plays Irrfan’s brother in the film. Homi Adajania is directing the film.
