The makers of Punit Malhotra's upcoming film Student Of The Year 2 launched its first song The Jawaani Song this afternoon and it is undoubtedly an impressive one. The film features Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. The trio is seen dancing their heart out along with Aditya Seal in the revamped version of the hit 1972 song Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani which featured Randhir Kapoor and Jaya Bachchan. At the song launch event, the star cast was asked about the pressure of remaking an iconic song, comparisons done and more.
When asked about remaking the song, Tiger said "I won’t say that it is a remake, we were wanting to pay a tribute to the old legends. It is not like we mean to replace them. I know it is bound to happen but in now ways can there be any comparison to the old version."
Tiger was also asked about the similarities the song has with the original one, to this he replied, "This song has a different take altogether. You won’t be able to compare it. I think the only comparison is that we have used Kishore Da’s voice. Other than that, you won’t be able to compare it."
