Ranveer Singh has started filming ‘83 in Dharamshala and shared a picture from the sets with cricket legend Kapil Dev. Directed by Kabir Khan, ’83 casts Ranveer as Kapil Dev as he was photographed in a blue jersey and shorts on the field with the cricketer, engaged in thorough conversation. “Becoming the Hurricane #KapilDev #Legend #JourneyBegins @83thefilm @kabirkhankk,” Ranveer wrote on social media along with the picture.

Social media is extremely excited with Ranveer’s post and cannot wait to watch the film already. The post has garnered over 4.8 lakh likes within hours of being made available online with the comments section filled with messages like, “Can't waittt” and “Good luck”.
Ranveer, meanwhile, began training for ’83 with cricketer Balvinder Singh Sandhu in February. Sandhu, a member of the 1983 winning team, had been training Ranveer for two hours every alternate day in Mumbai.
Earlier this week, Ranveer and the rest of the cast headed to Dharamshala as Kabir wanted the team to interact and bond with each other during the trip.
’83 is based on the Indian cricket team’s historic victory in the 1983 World Cup.
