First look of ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’ out; Won't be an introductory song for Salman Khan in Dabangg 3!

The shooting for Salman Khan’s and Sonakshi Sinha’s much-awaited film Dabangg 3 has started in Indore and Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh. The first pictures from the sets soon went viral on social media. We had previously revealed a few details about the third installment in the popular film franchise and the fact that this time around a lot of the things will be different than the other two films released earlier. Even before its wrap, Dabangg 3 has garnered a few controversies along the way because of the Shivalinga photos going viral and Salman shooting for the title track with about 500 dancers. However, unlike its prequels, Dabangg 3 will not see Salman being introduced in a special song.

Salman announced the wrap of the title song of Dabangg 3 with a picture from the sets. The Hud Hud Dabangg song from the first film became a signature step for Salman and an anthem for his countless fans. However, written by the late Jalees Sherwani, this time around the song will not introduce Salman in the film. A source close to the development of the film said, “While the title track for Dabangg franchise has always been an introductory song for the superstar, the third franchise will see the song come at a very crucial juncture of the story. Unlike its prequels, the song will be situational based. The song has been composed by Sajid Wajid and written by Jalees Sherwani.”

What’s even more interesting is the fact that the song will also feature Sonakshi in it, which is a first in the franchise. Sonakshi shot for the song on her first day. Dabangg 3 is directed by Prabhudheva and produced by Arbaaz Khan.

Apparently, Dabangg 3 is a prequel of sorts that brings forth the back story of Salman’s character Chulbul Pandey, who will be shown as a local goon with a heart of gold as a prolonged flashback will cover his metamorphosis into a Robin Hood cop. The film also marks the debut of Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Ashwami Manjrekar. Dabangg 3 is slated to release around Christmas this year.
