Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Taanaji’s title changed to Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, here’s the reason behind the new name

Numerology and astrology predictions have a very important place in India’s psyche. We generally don’t start any new work on an inauspicious day and a good muhurat or a favourable name is highly sought after. So it comes as no surprise that our superstars also take these predictions into account and name and release their films accordingly. Ajay Devgn’s historical film Taanaji : The Unsung Warrior is highly anticipated right from the time it was announced. The film is directed by Om Raut and the fans are eagerly waiting for it.

Recently, we noticed that there is a slight change to the film’s title as opposed to the earlier one. The film’s title has been changed to Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. It was Ajay’s tweet about the film’s release that brought our attention to the change. According to a report published in an entertainment portal, the spelling of the film’s name was changed due to astrological and numerological predictions.

The portal quoted numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi who said, “They (producers) often come to me for consultation for their film titles. We had suggested that now since the film is opening in 2020, they change the title." A few years ago, Ajay had dropped the ‘A’ from his surname as well.

The film is based on the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 which was fought between Tanaji Malusare, a commander of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Udaybhan. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan who plays the role of the main antagonist and Kajol as Ajay’s wife.
