Karan Johar ecstatic to win the Best Film Award at Filmfare after 20 years with Meghna Gulzar's Raazi. Read On..

Karan Johar on his celebrity chat show titled Koffee With Karan Season 6 said he wants to make a masterpiece film now. But, little did he know that he had produced a masterpiece back in May 2018 called Raazi. On Saturday, at the prestigious 64th Filmfare Awards 2019, Karan-produced, Meghna Gulzar's Raazi featuring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in central roles took home the Best Film (Popular) Award. Karan shared a picture with the Black Lady held high on his Instagram account and said with Raazi, he won an award after 20 years, last being Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998.

In the post, Karan thanked the team of Raazi who helped in bringing Sehmat(Alia) alive on screen.

Not just the Best Film award, the Best Actress (Popular) went to Alia and Meghna rightfully took possession of the Best Director (Popular) award. After Raazi, Karan and Alia have worked together in Abhishek Varman's Kalank, releasing on April 17. With Takht and Brahmastra the mentor-protege duo will work together.

Karan is currently riding high on the ninth cloud as Kesari, produced by him under the banner of Dharma Productions is ranking money at the box office and has been declared tax-free in Maharashtra.
