Director Mohit Suri recently announced his upcoming film Malang, starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu and Akshay Oberoi, and stated that the project will be "intense, edgy and mad" and is sort of a revenge drama. Anil too shared his excitement to collaborate with him for the first time and revealed that Malang will hit the silver screens on Valentine's Day 2020.

As the film is expected to begin filming within a month, we hear that film’s story is set in Goa and chronicles the life of five protagonists. A source informed a leading daily, "The makers will take it on the floors in April in the state and wrap up in a 50-60-day start-to-finish schedule." However, only aerial shots would be taken in Goa, after which, the tourist-state will be recreated in Mauritius. "It isn’t easy to shoot on the beaches of Goa in the months of April and May as that’s a busy time for tourism. Mauritius was chosen to avoid overcrowded spaces and because their landscapes are similar," the source further informed.
Interestingly, the film romantically pairs Aditya and Disha while Kunal and Anil will be seen playing the antagonists, while Akshay portrays a cop in Goa. "The trio is an important thread in the story," the source concluded.
Malang will be bankrolled by T-Series chief Bhushan Kumar along with Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan’s Luv Films, Ankur Garg and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Entertainment.
