Mukesh Chhabra's 'Kizie Aur Manny' now titled 'Dil Bechara'; Saif joins Sushant and Sanjana in Paris

Mukesh Chhabra’s Kizzie Aur Manny, the official Hindi adaptation of 2014 Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars, has now been officially renamed to Dil Bechara, producer Fox Star Studios announced on Friday. The film, which introduces debutante Sanjana Sanghi alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, is said to be a heart-warming love story about two youngsters who take you on a journey of love, life and hope against all odds.

Talking about the title change, Mukesh revealed to a leading daily that while the earlier title was a combo of the names Sushant and Sanjana’s characters, the team "felt that viewers would only connect with it after watching the film while Dil Bechara is self explanatory and people will instantly relate to it."

Meanwhile, PeepingMoon.com had recently informed you that Saif Ali Khan is doing a special appearance in the film and will apparently be seen playing the character of Peter Van Houten, an author originally played by Willem Dafoe in The Fault In Our Stars. While Mukesh has been tight-lipped about his character, he recently revealed Saif joined Sushant and Sanjana in Paris and he shot with Saif at Quai de l’Hotel-de-ville near Montmartre, where a very few people have filmed earlier. "We shot in Paris for a week but Saif was only there for a few days. He gelled well with the team and we had a great time," the casting director-turned-filmmaker told the daily.

Well, it would be certainly interesting to see Saif making a guest appearance in the much-awaited love story.

For the unversed, the now-titled Dil Bechara has been in the news ever since film's director Mukesh Chhabra was suspended as the director after two unnamed women accused him of sexual harassment in the then on-going #MeToo campaign. However, he was returned to helm the project after the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) didn't find any evidence against him in their inquiry into the allegation case.
