Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor who debuted last year in Bollywood have become the new darlings of Bollywood, media and the audience. The leading ladies are extremely articulate, honest, sincere and a lot of fun. From their gym outings to fashion sense to their releases and upcoming films everything they do become news, so much so that they are often pitted against each other by the media.
However, the two remain extremely friendly and cordial with each other and often come out in support of each other even though they are continuously compared to each other. Recently, when Sara was asked at a media interaction who she stalks on Instagram, she said, “I see Varun Dhawan's page often, I see Ranveer's page often and I see Janhvi's page often." She was then asked about her thoughts on Janhvi’s social media account and she said, “I like Janhvi's page."

Despite debuting in the same year and being compared incessantly to each other the leading ladies have always laughed off their so-called rivalry. Sara in an earlier interview has said, “This whole thing (rivalry) about Janhvi and me is so funny. We're both extremely comfortable and confident in our skin. The first five times people made collages of us on Instagram asking 'who's better?' we sent it to each other. Now we don't because it happens every week. But seriously, the industry is huge and has place for everyone." They even laughed it off on the Newcomers Roundtable hosted by an eminent journalist.
