Ranveer Singh starrer '83 to hit the screens on April 10 next year; makers to unveil final cast soon

After the stupendous success of Simmba, Ranveer Singh has already started prep for his next film ’83 that is based on India’s first World Cup win. The Kabir Khan directorial will see the actor essaying the role of Kapil Dev and it will probably be Ranveer's biggest professional challenge to copy the bowling and batting action of the renowned cricketer.

Now adding to the excitement, the makers of the upcoming sports film took to social media to share a special video announcing the entire cast soon. The video also reveals the release date of the much awaited film, which is set to hit the screens on April 10, 2020.

There has been immense excitement amongst the audience to witness the magnificent event to be recreated on the silver screen. Earlier, the makers hosted an event to announce the film along with the entire former team that lifted the world cup in 83.

While Ranveer will play the lead, the film will be backed by a powerful support cast and we cannot wait to for its official announcement. Presented by Reliance Entertainment, '83 will be produced by Madhu Mantena, Vishnu Induri and Kabir Khan.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, alongside Alia Bhatt.
