Ranveer Singh begins prep for ’83, takes to the nets to practice Kapil Dev’s cricketing actions

The actor is essaying the role of former Indian cricket captain who led India to its first World Cup win

After the stupendous success of Simmba, Ranveer Singh is not sitting back and basking on his laurels. Instead, the actor has started prep for his next film ’83 that is based on India’s first World Cup win. Ranveer will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev and he has started work on probably his biggest professional challenge of copying the bowling and batting action of Kapil. Ranveer and director Kabir Khan were spotted at the JVPD ground in Juhu where the actor took to the nets.

Ranveer also shared an image of him practicing the game of cricket from the JVPD grounds on his social media. He captioned the image as, “ And the glorious journey begins…….. #83 #kapildev @83thefilm#balwindersinghsandhu @kabirkhankk.” Kapil is hailed as one of the greatest all-rounders the country has ever produced. The film is soon going to go on floors.
