It was in September last year that Salman Khan left his fans excited by announcing that he will return as Inspector Chulbul Pandey in the third installment of his popular Dabangg franchise. And only a few days back, Salman's brother and producer of the film, Arbaaz Khan, confirmed that Dabangg 3 will go on floors in April and will be helmed by none other than Prabhudheva.
While no more details have been divulged about the project, we now hear that Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep has been roped in to play the baddie in the forthcoming cop-drama. A source close to the development revealed to a leading daily, "Sudeep and Salman have been planning to team up on a film since a long time and things have fallen in place. The two will engage in Tom and Jerry kind of skirmishes in Dabangg 3. Sudeep's character has shades of grey."

Meanwhile, there was a buzz that Dabangg 3 will have two antagonists and the second role will be played by Telegu actor Jagapathi Babu. However, the source refuted all rumours saying that it is not true. Apparently, the film will be shot over a duration of 90-100 days and the makers are eyeing Christmas 2019 for its release.
Work wise, Salman will next be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat, which stars Katrina Kaif as the female lead and is slated to release on Eid 2019.
