Sridevi Bungalow Trailer: Twitterati slam Priya Prakash Varrier’s film, calls it disgraceful and a sleazefest

Wink girl Priya Prakash Varrier is all set to make her Bollywood debut in film Sridevi Bungalow. However, the film has landed in legal trouble as soon as its trailer was released on January 13. The film’s trailer has been slammed by Twitterati who called it ‘disgraceful’ and ‘rubbish’. The film’s trailer shows Priya as a successful but lonely actress who is named Sridevi. Her death is eerily similar to veteran actor Sridevi’s death because she is shown as dying in the bathtub and the poster of the film shows only a pair of legs dangling on the edge of a bathtub- an image which viewers found to be reminiscent of how Sridevi died.

Legendary actor Sridevi’s untimely death last year sent the entire country in shock. Her death raised a lot of questions but they were all quashed and a case of accidental drowning was concluded. Her husband filmmaker Boney Kapoor has slammed a legal notice on the makers of the film Sridevi Bungalow. However, it is the Twitterati who has slammed the makers for the film. The trailer of the film Sridevi Bungalow is also not something very spectacular as Priya comes across as an extremely weak actress. The film’s trailer also fails to portray any sort of empathy towards the main character who has everything going for her yet is lonely and depressed. The film is directed by Prasanth Mambully and also stars Priyanshu Chatterjee.
