After unveiling the soulful, melodious, romantic and emotional title track from the film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga the makers are all set to unveil another song Ishq Mitha, which is a recreated version of the popular and well-loved Punjabi song Gur Naal Ishq Mitha tomorrow on January 15.
The iconic Punjabi number from the 90s has been recreated to feature the father-daughter duo of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. The song’s teaser has been shared by Anil and Sonam on their social media accounts and both of them promise that the song sees both of them shaking a leg together. Check out their tweets below.

Glimpses of the song Ishq Mitha was seen in the trailer of the film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga that set the mood for the ‘wedding of the year’ in the film. The title track that was released a few days earlier is another recreated version from Anil’s film 1942 A Love Story that also had Manisha Koirala in the lead and was a roaring hit in the 90s and still immensely loved.
We’re sure the new song Ishq Mitha will also do justice to the original and will have the entire country grooving to it in no time. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar. It also stars Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on February 1.
