We’re very sure that you were waiting for Apna Time Aayega ever since you heard Ranveer Singh rapping it in the trailer of his new film Gully Boy. Well, it’s here guys as the makers released the first song from Zoya Akhtar’s film on Monday and you can very well declare it as your power anthem for the rest of your life.
Gully Boy casts Ranveer as a rapper from the streets of Mumbai and Apna Time Aayega features snippets of his life in the slums and the battle that he has to fight with his family and the society in order to materialize his dreams – he works as a driver but aspires to become a renowned rapper and boy, he surely has the talent. Alia Bhatt plays a medical student and his love interest – she supports Ranveer’s character in his journey while Apna Time Aayega also features their intimate moments in bits and pieces.

In the video, Ranveer’s character also raps to Apna Time Aayega for an audience at a club later while Kalki Koechlin, who stars as an influential musician in the film, makes an appearance in the song.
Apna Time Aayega has been composed by Dub Sharma and DIVINE while Ranveer provides the vocals, which we are sure, you know by now. DIVINE and Ankur Tewari are responsible for the quirky lyrics.
