'They pretend I don't exist': Kangana Ranaut calls out Deepika, Alia and other actresses

Kangana Ranaut is one Bollywood celebrity who is never afraid to speak her mind. Not only is she a brilliant actor, she is the Queen of the box-office as well. However, her last few films failed to create a buzz among the audience and it looks like, Kangana is all set to be back with a bang as Rani Lakshmibai in her ambitious and dream project Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

The film will see Kangana not only as the protagonist but she is donning the director's hat for it as well. Not to forget, the actress let the tongues wagging after she took over the reins of the film in her hands and re-shot several sequences. When asked about it, Kangana told a leading website that she the makers didn't announce the reason of reshoots then because she feared of backlash, which might have hampered the project.

She further pointed that there is always opposition from every end when it comes to her work and she never gets the love in return that she gives to her contemporaries' films. "I will praise Alia or I would praise Anushka or I would praise everyone. I never shied away from going to Deepika's Piku trial. Everyone I have praised in my capacity. Sonakshi's Lootera I saw and the whole year I praised her. I don't get threatened. Why don't I see same sort of...why is everyone like, "Oh, oh, oh she doesn't exist"? Why is that going on? I exist. My film has crossed millions and millions of views and it is one of the most promising films of this year. So when they pretend I don't exist...nobody ever talks about my teasers or trailers," she quipped.

She concluded by saying that when she praises a particular film, she does not see whose film it is but seemed disheartened that she doesn't get the same reaction for her projects.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is slated to release on January 25.
