#MeToo: Vinta Nanda questions Mumbai Court’s decision on Alok Nath

Vinta Nanda has questioned the pre-arrest bail granted by the court to actor Alok Nath in the rape case that she had filed against him. The court has granted the bail on the grounds that the veteran actor might be falsely framed in the case. According to a leading daily, Nanda said in an interview that she respects the decision of the Court but said that like all perpetrators Nath also denied the allegations against him.

Nanda even added that in his application for anticipatory bail, Nath had tried to mislead the court by coming up with false and untrue stories. She also drew attention to the fact that everyone who knew them personally knows the truth and the facts of the case won’t change. She said that while her case in the court is a solitary one CINTAA and her family know the truth. Vinta had filed a case against the actor after alleging last year in the wake of the #MeToo movement that Alok had raped her 19 years ago. She made the revelation on a Facebook post that went viral.

She took the names of Sandhya Mridul, Navneet Nishan, Himani Shivpuri and Deepika Amin who have related stories of Alok’s misconduct on sets questioned that whether they were also lying as well about the actor.
