Abhishek Chaubey is coming up with a film titled Sonchiriya featuring Bhumi Pednekar, Sushant Singh Rajput, Ranvir Shorey, and Manoj Bajpayee who earlier helmed films like Udta Punjab, Dedh Ishqiya and Ishqiya. Sonchiriya revolves around Chambal dacoits and is set in the 1970s. This will be the first time Sushant and Bhumi will be seen starring together.
The trailer released a while back and it takes us through a journey of rebels and dacoits who are in search of a Sonchiriya (Golden bird). The trailer features the star-cast in their rusty avatar and is set in a village back in the 70s. Sushant, Manoj and Ranvir fight it out in the trailer with utmost rivalry and deception.
Bhumi who plays the role of a villager wife in the film is seen battling against the rebels to protect herself and her sister. Sushant, Manoj, Ranvir and Ashutosh Rana are in their rebellious best and are on a journey to fearlessly fight against each other.

The film promises to be a power packed action film giving a glimpse of the glorious years of dacoits in central India. Shot in the valleys of Madhya Pradesh, Sonchiriya presents an ensemble cast with an intriguing storyline. The film is slated to release on February 8.
