Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan to reunite for David Dhawan’s directorial venture?


Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan is a well-loved onscreen couple ever since they made their debut in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year in 2012. The actors have worked together in three successful films, including SOTY, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Currently, they are working together in Abhishek Varman’s Kalank. Now, according to an entertainment website, Varun and Alia may work together again in David Dhawan’s next directorial.

David’s next venture is touted to be the remake of his 90s hit Coolie No.1 that had Govinda, Karisma Kapoor and Kader Khan in the lead roles. David’s elder son Rohit Dhawan will be producing the film. There were reports that Sara Ali Khan was being considered for the role but the latest reports suggest that Alia will once again reunite with Varun.

Varun and David joined forces in films like Judwaa 2 and Main Tera Hero. This will be the third collaboration of the father-son duo. Reportedly, Varun will start work on the film after he wraps up shooting for Remo D’Souza’s ABCD3. However, no official announcement or confirmation about the project has been made but rumour mills are abuzz that Varun and Alia will surely reunite for the film.
