Amidst finalizing the female lead, Varun Dhawan to kickstart shooting for Remo D'Souza's ‘Street Dancer’ from January 22 in Punjab

After a blockbuster year with October and Sui Dhaaga, Varun Dhawan is all set to dance in to 2019 with Remo D'Souza's upcoming dance flick tentatively titled Street Dancer. The film was recently in news post-Katrina Kaif's exit from it as she had already given her dates to Salman Khan starrer Bharat which is all set to release this Eid.

While Katrina's replacement is yet to be finalized, it is said that Varun will kickstart the shoot soon in Punjab. Although Varun's ABCD 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan both are being considered for the lead role opposite Varun, no confirmation on the same has been belted out yet.

Talking about the shoot of the film a source close to the development informed a leading daily, “During the first seven-day schedule in Punjab, a song and a few scenes will be shot after which the team moves to the UK in the first week of February. A major chunk of the film will be shot in London, and it wraps up mid-April."

"It chronicles the journey of the underdogs who go on to defeat the champions. While Varun leads the Indian contingent, the makers are in talks with an international dancer to come on board as his competitor,” added the source.

The film is slated to release on November 8, 2019.
