Actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have given their fans a New Year’s gift by sharing the first poster of their upcoming film Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar. The film traces the story of a young Mumbai street rapper inspired by the life of Divine and others like him.
The poster shows Ranveer’s character with his back to the camera, wearing a hoodie and facing the sun and looking into the distance at a building. The poster is similar to the one shared in February 2018 as Ranveer appears to be wearing the same hoodie. However, on closer inspection, one can see that there are faint notes written on the poster that hints at lyrics of a song. Words like, “Ek Tarfa”, “Duniya”, “Ujala” and others can be seen. The tagline of the poster reads, “Apna time aayega (Our time will come).”

Gully Boy recently was announced as being a part of the Berlin International Film Festival where the film will be screened for the first time. It will be screened in the Berlinale Special section of the prestigious festival, which will be held between February 7 and February 17, 2019.
Gully Boy also features Kalki Koechlin, Akanksha Puri, Vijay Varma, and Ali Asghar. Gully Boy has been produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and will be released on February 14, 2019.
