For his “friend colleague and a sensation ever,” Big B posted his best wishes along with a collage of pictures featuring Rajinikanth and him. With Rajinikanth, Big B co-starred in the films Andha Kanoon, Geraftaar and Hum. Soon after Big B’s post, Rajinikanth promptly responded to his greeting on Twitter.

Akshay, meanwhile, posted a memorable picture with his “dream co-star and a legend in every right,” and said that he enjoyed working with Rajinikanth in 2.0. Directed by S. Shankar, 2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran - Rajinikanth reprised his role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti in it while Akshay appeared as the antagonist in it.

2.0 is a multilingual film and released in Tamil and Telugu apart from Hindi. Both Telugu and Tamil versions fared well while the film is doing good business abroad as well. The Hindi version of the film has earned over Rs 150 crore at the box office.
Rajinikanth, star of films Kaali, Murattu Kalai, Garjanam, Lingaa, Kabali and Kaala, will appear next in Petta.
