Amitabh Bachchan on board for Aankhen 2, to roll from Mid 2019; makers hunt for stars to essay three blind men

After being embroiled in legal fights for the past few years, Aankhen 2 is all set to take off. The filming is likely to hit the ground in Mid 2019. To be directed by Anees Bazmee, Amitabh Bachchan would be retained from the original cast of Aankhen, that released in 2002.

As per a leading daily, Tarun Agarwal who along with Sunil Lulla will be producing the film stated, “Mr. Bachchan is on board and for the rest of the cast we are looking for younger actors and are currently in talks with some, but can't divulge any other names yet.”

Tarun added that the film will be shot in London and Georgia. A Casino has been booked for the shoot in Georgia and the team is scouting UK for suitable locations.

Gaurang Doshi, who had produced original franchise of Aankhen, had announced Aankhen 2 in 2016. Apparently, Amitabh, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal were on board for the project, as were the ladies Ileana D’Cruz and Regina Cassandra. Following the announcement, Tarun moved to court asking how could Gaurang announce Aankhen 2 when he had sold the rights of the franchise to Rajtaru Studio, owned by Tarun, years ago? When contacted by the leading website, Tarun refused to comment on the legal status on Aankhen 2.
