Is the universe even interested in any other subject apart from Deepika Padukone’s and Ranveer Singh’s wedding ever since the couple announced on Sunday that they are getting married on November 14 and 15? Not quite as folks are solely interested in gathering as much information as possible about the big fat wedding of the year.
Deepika and Ranveer shared images of their wedding invite on social media and confirmed the news of their wedding ending weeks of speculation. Although the wedding date has been mentioned in the card, the venue hasn’t, and if a report in a leading daily is to be believed, Deepika and Ranveer will get married in a private ceremony in Italy’s Lake Como. However, the venue might change to Mumbai at the last minute considering the fact that no official confirmation has been made so far on this aspect.

The report, though, states that festivities will spread over a period of four days in Italy itself. Sangeet is on November 13 while Ranveer and Deepika, according to sources, will marry as per North Indian and South Indian customs in two wedding ceremonies.
"Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practiced by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding (Anant Karaj),” mid-day quoted a source as saying.
Apart from family, Deepika and Ranveer have reportedly invited only four celebrities for their Italy wedding - Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan, Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. "Given her deep bond with Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan who had launched her in Bollywood, Deepika was certain that she wants them by her side on the auspicious day. The couple also considers Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali their mentors. The celebrations will be followed by an intimate party on November 15,” the source added.

Deepika made her debut in Bollywood with Farah’s Om Shanti Om opposite SRK in 2007 while Ranveer’s debut was handled by Yash Raj Films’ Aditya Chopra - Band Baaja Baaraat was his first film. With Bhansali, Deepika and Ranveer worked together in three films - Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. In fact, it is on the sets of Ram-Leela that Deepika and Ranveer reportedly fell for each other.

Back to the wedding. Ranveer and Deepika are expected to host a grand reception for their friends and colleagues from the film industry at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt on December 1. But the event might actually end up clashing with Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to fiancé, American singer Nick Jonas, who are reportedly getting married on the same date in Jodhpur. Nevertheless, it’s the same story here as well – no official word has been provided on these dates by either party.
