Queen: Tamannaah, Kajal, Manjima, Parul star in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada remakes

Actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Kajal Agarwal, Manjima Mohan and Parul Yadav will be stepping into Kangana Ranaut’s shoes as they are about to feature in the official remakes of the Bollywood hit film Queen. They shared the first look posters of their films. Amit Trivedi has composed music for all the four films.

Tamannaah stars in the Telugu remake which is titled as That is Mahalakshmi. She is seen wearing oversized spectacles and posing in Kangana’s iconic pose in front of the Eiffel Tower. The film is directed by Prasanth Varma of Awe fame.

In Tamil, the film is titled Paris Paris and it features Kajal in the lead role. Kajal’s Parameshwari is also seen sitting in front of the Eiffel Tower wearing a sweater reminiscent of Kangana’s wardrobe from Queen. She looks happy and has a liberating smile on her face.

The Kannada and Malayalam posters too have the Eiffel Tower at its backdrop. Manjima plays the lead role in the Malayalam remake which is titled Zam Zam. Manjima is seen wearing a yellow dupatta on her head while surrounded by burqa-clad women.

Parul plays the lead in the Kannada remake. The film is titled as Butterfly. She is seen holding the brown sweater and doing the bhangra in front of the French monument.

Kangana’s film Queen was an iconic and popular one. The film also featured Rajkummar Rao and Nayani Dixit and was directed by Vikas Bahl. Kangana’s character is dumped at the altar by her fiancé Rajkummar, after which she decides to go on her honeymoon alone and finds herself on the journey.
