Television and film actor Sandhya Mridul on Wednesday came out in support of Vinta Nanda's allegations of sexual harassment and rape against veteran actor Alok Nath by sharing a horrific story of her own. In a long Twitter post, Sandhya accused the actor for entering her hotel room by force and lunging at her in an inebriated state during the shoot of a television show.
Claiming that he used to scream and tell her that "I want you you’re mine", Sandhya added that Alok did not stop there and kept harassing and calling her late at night after a drinking session. She further revealed that one day he apologised profusely to her by blaming his behaviour on his alcoholism and she did forgive him. But to her dismay, the damage was done as Alok told everyone in Mumbai that Sandhya was "difficult and arrogant" to work with.

In her post, she thanked her DOP and co-actor, the late Reema lagoo, for standing by her during tough times and felt sorry for Vinta for going through such a terrible incident. She also admired the likes of Tanushree and Vinta who have come out in the open to speak against their sexual predators.
Meanwhile, apart from Vinta and Sandhya, a woman crew member of Hum Saath Saath Hain recently shared her nightmare with a leading daily. Alleging that Alok started stripping in front of her, she added, "We were shooting for a night scene and I had taken a change of costumes to him. Once I handed him the clothes, he started stripping in front of me... When I tried to run out, he grabbed my hand and manhandled me. I remember yanking my hand out of his grip and rushing out of the room." She also said that despite being "shell-shocked", she could not muster up courage to speak up against Alok Nath.
Well, looks like the time is up for the 'sanskaari' actor.
